Hi, I’m Flannery.

My approach to therapy is centered on empowering you to take the lead in your own life. My role is to support, guide, probe and challenge you when needed—but you’re always in the driver’s seat. My style is straightforward and down-to-earth, rooted in empathy and understanding so you feel heard and respected every step of the way.

I draw from a range of approaches depending on what fits best for you—whether that’s exploring the past to understand cognitive or behavioral patterns, developing practical tools to handle obstacles in the present, or holding space to reflect and process trauma, grief or a big life transition.

Alongside my general practice, I specialize in sports performance and mental health. As both a therapist and an elite runner, I bring a dual perspective—I understand not only the psychology behind performance but also what it feels like to line up, chase goals, and manage the demands of training and competition. I know how setbacks, injuries, pressure and external stressors can affect both performance and well-being, and I’m passionate about helping athletes work through those challenges from a multidimensional perspective.

Whether you’re navigating performance anxiety, struggling with confidence, recovering from injury, or striving for that next breakthrough, I’ll help you strengthen your mindset, build resilience, and find balance. My goal is to support you in performing at your best while also staying grounded in who you are beyond sport.

personal

  • I feel fortunate to say that being a therapist is truly part of my life’s work. Hearing my client’s stories, meeting them within a vulnerable space and joining them in challenging and acknowledging their process provides magic and meaning that I am so honored to take part in.

  • Part of my orientation acknowledges the use of self as a therapist and I continue to do my own metacognitive work and continuing education to adjust and grow, in order to show up as the best human and therapist I can be.

  • Outside of work, I also find meaning in the mountains and movement. I love being outside, doing a variety of activities while enjoying our beautiful state.

  • I am a former Division I collegiate soccer player. I have pivoted in adulthood towards trail and road running. I qualified for the Olympic Trials in the Marathon with a time of 2:36:43 in 2023 and ran in the Olympic Trials in February of 2024. I compete nationally in trail running, most recently placing Top 10 at the USATF Mountain Running Championships in 2024 and 2025.
